Surfly as a solution:
Q: For a start-up, whats the best way to create a product tour for a SaaS?
Danny DiGiovanni answered it on Quora
Screencasting is very popular. It can show a potentially customer how your app works and what it actually looks like. Avoid making the video too long and try to use a good microphone if you're narrating. Also, record at the highest rate possible.
We take regular screencasts and dress them up with motion graphic text, simple animations, and professional voiceover. See the example here: The Smartling Platform
Simulated video tour
Startups launch new features and iterate so quickly that apps can look different every few months. We've made animated videos that show how apps function but simulate the look of it to prevent the video from become obsolete. See the example here:Surfly
There are many different ways you can use Surfly in your day-to-day life. What makes Surfly so inviting is that it has no learning curve. All your friends have to do is sign up for the service and enter the URL. You can use Surfly to troubleshoot your friends and families tech problems. We all know how frustrating it is to walk your distant relative through the eBay buying process over the phone. Yes, there are more robust screen sharing alternatives but all of them need some effort to set up. The average user neither has the time nor the energy to do that. You can also use the tool to show off your new website to friends or ask them for live feedback.
Surfly can be useful for businesses too. You can share your screen with multiple computers at the same time with little set up. This can come in really handy for those who use online presentation tools like slid.es. Several businesses now use online collaboration tools like Github and Google Drive. If you just want to show a part of your work to your client without giving them access to all of your data, Surfly can be of great use.

Screen share with students on individual computers to demonstrate how to locate information on websites, or when learning tech tools. Surfly is a great alternative if an interactive whiteboard or projector is not available. It is also very helpful for demonstrating with others at another location (such as students who are home sick). Use this tool to collaborate with other teachers when creating lesson plans or student documents. Have students on laptops share their screen with you during presentations to make information easier to view and assess. Share this site with students to use at home when collaborating on projects. Help a homebound student by sharing your class computer screen and opening an audio connection over the phone. Offer "extra help" sessions via screen share at predetermined "office hours," on snow days, or on certain evenings. Have students teach tech skills to their peers using this free sharing tool. Share a student's online work using a screen share during a parent phone conference. Show a parent how to navigate a practice site you want the family to use at home. Visual directions always work better!

Sometimes, it's just easier to show someone what you're doing instead of explaining yourself. Over the web, that can be difficult, but Surfly makes it a bit easier.
To use the service, you simply create an account and start browsing. You can then share a link to your session from which anyone can join you. The person who started the session will control the browsing, but anyone can view what you're doing, making it great for demonstrating how to do things to the less tech savvy among your friends.
